Fabric Care

Linen Care Guide – Keep Your Linen Soft, Beautiful & Long-Lasting

Before First Use: Always wash your new linen (Beddings, tablecloths, placemats, napkins, etc.) once before using. This removes any excess starch from manufacturing and makes the linen even softer and more absorbent.

Machine Wash:
  • Wash on a gentle/delicate cycle in warm water.
  • Wash linens separately from other fabrics, especially during the first few washes, to prevent colour transfer.
  • Use a mild, eco-friendly or fabric-safe detergent.
  • Never use bleach or detergents containing optical brighteners – they weaken fibres and can cause yellowing or discolouration.
Hand Wash:
  • Soak in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes.
  • Gently swish by hand – do not rub, twist, wring or scrub aggressively.
  • Rinse thoroughly in several changes of clean water until all soap is removed.
Stain Removal:

Linen absorbs stains quickly, so act fast!

  • Rinse the stained area immediately with plenty of cold or lukewarm water.
  • Treat with a gentle detergent and wash separately.
  • Most everyday stains come out easily this way. For tougher stains, spot-treat gently – still avoid bleach.
Drying:
  • Tumble dry on low/warm heat, or dry in the shade (avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading).
Ironing:
  • Iron while the linen is still slightly damp using a medium-warm iron setting.
  • This gives the smoothest, crispest finish with minimal effort.
Bleaching:
  • Avoid bleach completely. It damages the natural fibres and can cause permanent yellowing or weakening.
Storage:
  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
  • Never store in plastic bags – they trap moisture and can lead to mildew or yellowing.
  • Use cotton or breathable linen storage bags, pillowcases, or simply fold neatly in a drawer.

Linen naturally becomes more luxurious and softer with every wash – a true sign of premium quality.
